SANS PATRIE/ STUDIO respects your privacy and protects your personal data. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, enquire about a tattoo, or get tattooed with us — and what your rights are under UK GDPR.
The data controller is DEAL WITH DOLPHIN LTD, trading as SANS PATRIE/ STUDIO (company number 12541624), 76 Digby Road, Hackney, London E9 6HX. Registered office: 16a St. James’s Park, Croydon CR0 2UT.
/ What we collect
When you enquire or book: your name, email address, phone number, and the details of the piece you are asking about, including any reference images you send us.
When you are tattooed: the consent and aftercare record we are required to keep, which may include your date of birth and proof of age, and any medical information you disclose that affects whether or how we can tattoo you.
When you pay a deposit: the payment reference and amount. Deposits are taken by payment link, bank transfer or PayPal — we do not store card details, and payments made through a payment provider are handled by that provider, not by us.
When you use this site: standard analytics data about how the site is used, collected in an aggregated form.
When you consent to it: photographs of your tattoo, which we may publish on this site or on our social channels.
When you visit the studio: CCTV operates on the premises, so your image may be recorded while you are here.
/ Why we use it, and on what basis
To answer your enquiry, arrange your appointment and carry out the work you have booked — because we need to in order to do what you have asked us to do.
To meet our legal and health-and-safety obligations as a registered tattoo premises, including keeping consent records — because the law requires it.
To run and improve the studio: keeping our records in order, understanding how the site is used, and responding to questions and complaints — because we have a legitimate interest in doing so, weighed against your rights.
To send you studio news, guest-artist announcements and flash drops. If you give us your email address on your consent form, we add it to our mailing list for this, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping in touch with our clients about the studio. You can unsubscribe at any time, through the link in any email we send or by contacting us, and we will stop.
To publish photographs of your tattoo — only with your consent, which you may withdraw.
Health information you give us (medical conditions, medication, allergies, pregnancy) is a special category of data. We use it only with your explicit consent, which you give on your consent form, and to meet our health-and-safety duties as a registered tattoo premises.
/ Who sees it
Your data is seen only by the people at the studio who need it to do their work. We share it outside the studio only with the service providers who run parts of our operation on our behalf — our booking system, our payment providers, our email provider and this website’s host — each of which is bound to keep it secure and use it only as we instruct.
We never sell your data, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
We may disclose data where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect or defend our legal interests.
Some of these providers, including our website host (Webflow), our forms provider (Jotform), PayPal and Google, may store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s approved contract terms for international transfers.
/ How long we keep it
Enquiries and correspondence: up to 5 years.
Consent forms, medical declarations and treatment records: up to 7 years, for licensing and insurance purposes.
Deposit and payment records: for the period required for accounting and tax purposes.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
